Travel Directions: How to get to Caramoan
by Caramoan Travel Guide on Dec.14, 2008, under Travel Tips
If you are like me who is afraid to fly in an airplane and have difficulty getting to exotic places like Boracay, The Bahamas, Bermuda or Galapagos Islands, you can now rejoice. The Caramoan Peninsula is located in the island of Luzon, Philippines. That means it is reachable via land travel from Manila. Read on to know how to get to Caramoan.
One can take a 10 hour bus ride from Manila to Naga City, Camarines Sur. You will pass through the provinces of Laguna, Batangas, Quezon and Camarines Norte.
Then from Naga City it will take another shuttle bus ride to Sabang. It will take approximately 2 hours to Sabang. This is where the Caramoan-Naga port (San Francisco Church) where you will embark on a boat ride to Caramoan. Departing schedule to Caramoan starts at 12 PM in the afternoon until 1 AM in the morning. The boat ride normally takes 2 hours. From the port in Caramoan, you may take local transportation to your chosen accommodation, inn or hotel.
But as soon as you hit the waters of Caramoan, you will get refreshed, relaxed and enjoy this secret paradise. It is really an adventure fulfilled.

Thanks for that informative post. However, may I ask as to where should we ride the Sabang shuttle if we took the bus ride to naga city from manila? should it be anywhere near the bus terminal? In case, how much would that cost us? and may I also know if the island/resorts there accommodates a day pass? thanks very much.

the above information is for normail travel (TIPID) if you are reach person visit gota village.

For information the experience that tourists like us doesnt like is being carried in shoulders and getthing wet in this process. Why not use the Dolo port nearby one kilometer away from Sabang for the convenience of people going to Caramoan. This experience to some tourists will make them think of not returning anymore.

Hi, may I know when is the best time to visit Caramoan? Is October a good month? If I fly in from Manila to Naga, is there direct bus to the ferry port?
April 15th, 2011 on 3:47 PM
The quickest way is to go to Virac airport, (1hr) then take a van or tricycle to Codon port (20 min). , then via boat to Caramoan (30 min). I’m not sure if the roro is now available at this point of time though.:-)

We booked a flight with PAL to CamSur in Aug. Could you please tell me the best place to stay in Naga just in case we decide to stay for say a day or two in the city before we off to Caramoan or maybe the nearest place to the port off to Caramoan? Also, we won’t give a miss to see the Water Sports Complex, do you know any alternative activities we can do apart from water skeing or any interesting place to go around as my fiance is kind of a “been there, seen it once and that’s it?”

Sana wag maging kagaya ng Boracay to. Na-baboy ng commercialism, walang pakialam ang local government sa serenity ng island. Puro na garbage at lumot ang tubig ng Boracay, yuk!
